Essendon Plumbing Services believes there is a need for both hourly rate plumbing and fixed price plumbing and that the type of plumbing job you have will determine the service that best suits your individual needs.
When comparing plumbing companies in Melbourne you generally have two types of service methods:
- Hourly Rate Plumbing
- Fixed Price Plumbing
33 years’ experience in carrying out plumbing repairs to homes and businesses in Melbourne has given us a wealth of knowledge and assists us in advising you on which method will produce the best outcome for your needs. History has proven the type of plumbing job you require is the best indicator of which pricing is best for you – whether that be fixed rate plumbing or hourly rate plumbing.
At Essendon Plumbing Services we provide both options for two different scenarios.
Hourly Rate Plumbing
Essendon Plumbing Services believes that the consumer is better served on smaller plumbing maintenance jobs using the hourly rate plumbing method. These smaller jobs of between 1-4 hours can be carried out more efficiently for the consumer on the hourly rate method as you only pay for actual time spent on your job and actual material used on your job. Essendon Plumbing Services has a clear, upfront, open and honest pricing system . Our rates are clearly shown here on our pricing page and our friendly staff always ensure our customers are fully aware of our rates at the time of their booking prior to the plumber arriving.
Examples of Hourly Rate Plumbing Tasks
• Leaking taps
• Gas leaks
• Burst pipes
• Leaking pipes
• Leaking roofs
• Blocked toilets
• Blocked drains
• Leaking Toilet
• Water Hammer
Essendon Plumbing Services charge in 30 min increments. Materials are charged on an as used basis. Once all tasks are completed the time spent on site is multiplied by the hourly rate, charged in 30 min increments plus the materials used.
When booking a job with a plumbing company that only operates on the fixed price method usually you will be charged a quote fee (or fee to attend site) of between $60-$90 if you do not accept the price of the job. Always ask the question before booking.
Fixed Rate Plumbing
For larger plumbing jobs, providing a fixed price quotation gives our customers peace of mind and removes the uncertainty of not knowing what the bill will be. It also allows the customer to compare quotes from other plumbing companies.
Examples of Fixed Rate Plumbing Tasks
• Hot water service replacement
• Bathroom, kitchen and laundry renovations
• Renewal of sewer drainage pipe
• Renewal of hot and cold water pipes
• Roof and gutter replacement
• New home or renovation plumbing
• Gas appliance installation
• Gas fitting line installation
Essendon Plumbing Services provides a free service for all quotations on these larger suggested fixed rate plumbing tasks.
