What is a Master Plumber?
A Master Plumber is a plumber or organisation that is registered to an association that has a strict code of ethics. The Master Plumbers Association ensures all its members are qualified and meet a number of practice and trade standards. The Association is intent on ensuring that there is uniformity in licensing of plumbing contractors, in the regulation of the plumbing industry and in the training delivery of plumbing qualifications. It’s like having a black belt in plumbing.
Master Plumbers Association Membership
Essendon Plumbing Services is a member of the Master Plumbers and Mechanical Services Association of Australia (MPSAA), also known as ‘Master Plumbers Association’.
MPMSAA is a registered national employer organisation providing representation and extensive services for a broad base of members in the plumbing and mechanical services sectors.
Code of Ethics
The Master Plumbers’ Association has approved a Code of Ethics as a means of encouraging the highest standards of business conduct from its members. It is issued so that the Association and its members can strive together to improve the Plumbing and Mechanical Services Industry.
Peace of Mind
The point of being a member of the Master Plumbers Association is that it ensures the community that a plumber has the prerequisite skills and knowledge to complete the work required with a guarantee.
Finding a Master Plumber
Whenever you need a plumber you should ensure the plumber is a Master Plumber. This is an easy step, simply go onto The Master Plumbers Association webpage and click the plumbing issue you need fixing and your postcode, you will see a list of master plumbers near you. Once booked, they will also be able to give you a copy of their membership card.
Remember, engaging a plumber who is not a Master Plumber may give you minimal or no recourse if something was to go wrong. You could be left with expensive repair costs and damage to your property. Only a licensed plumber can issue a certificate of compliance giving you the security and peace of mind with a 6-year workmanship guarantee.
Essendon Plumbing Services only employs fully trained Master Plumbers and we are a member of the Master Plumbers Association.
Insured and Licensed
Only engage a licensed plumbing company that is fully insured and a member of the Master Plumbers Association. Licensed plumbers are the only plumbers that can issue a certificate of compliance on any job over the value of $750.00, which includes the cost of material or any gas job regardless of dollar value. Registered plumbers cannot issue certificates of compliance. Learn more about what a certificate of compliance is here.
Additionally, all Licensed and Registered Plumbers in Victoria hold VBA ID cards complete with Photo ID and classes of plumbing work they are registered or licensed to carry out. You are within your rights to ask to see this card prior to engaging and booking the plumber. You can also go to the VBA website to search if your plumber is registered or licensed.
Essendon Plumbing Services guarantees all its work with a 100% lifetime customer service guarantee. This means that if you’re not happy with your job, we’ll fix it or offer a full refund.
